My aunt Jennifer is an actress. She must be at least thirty-five years old.In spite of this, she often appears on the stage as a young girl. Jennifer will have to take part in a new play soon. This time, she will be a girl of seventeen. In the play, she must appear in a bright red dress and long black stockings. Last year, in another play she had to wear short sock and a bright, orange-coloured dress. If anyone ever asks her how old she is, she always answers, 'Darling, it must be terrible to be grown up!'

1、My aunt Jennifer is an actress. She must be at least thirty-five years old.

1)情态动词：情 ＋ 态——动词

备注：基本助动词3个：do, have, be

备注：情态常见动词11个：may/might; can/could; will/would; shall/should; must; need; dare。

2)情态动词功能：表示情态，态度等。不能单独做谓语，要和动词搭配做谓语。

3)must 必须／have to 必须

must—（主动）必须；

have to – （被动）不得不

4)must be 表推测，对现在肯定的推测。否定变为can't be

例：This must be/can't be Peter's car. 这个肯定是／不是皮特的车。

5)mustn't 禁止；

例：You mustn't smoke here, sir. 先生，这不允许抽烟。

搭配：at least 至少／at most 最多
