实用口语：讨好某人怎么说？

suck up to someone 讨某人开心、拍马屁

1）You may be able to succeed by sucking up to the right person. 拍马屁拍对人了，你有可能成功。

套用：you make be able to do something by doing sth.  通过做某事，你可能能做成某事。

e.g. You may be able to make friends with them by sucking up to them/by buying them candies. (but that's not how friendship comes from).  通过讨好她们/给他们买糖，你可能跟他们交上朋友。（但是友谊不是这么来的）

2) You know, I’m not sucking up to the audience.  我不会讨好听众/观众。

套用：I'm not sucking to + 人

e.g. I'm not sucking up to our teacher. I‘m just willing to help/I'm just a nice guy.
