【基础英语】学透jealous 这个词的用法

Jealous adj. 嫉妒的；

第一个用法很直接和基本，就是be/feel/get + jealous 感觉有一点羡慕嫉妒恨。比如：

e.g. My girlfriend get jealous easily. 我女朋友很容易吃醋。

e.g. I was tempted to feel a little jealous. 我有点嫉妒了。

第二个用法，如果你想说嫉妒的具体内容，可以说be jealous of +人/物，都可以。比如说：

e.g. I’m so jealous of you/your success. 我好羡慕嫉妒你/你的成功。

e.g. How does one not become frustrated and jealous of those who are achieving the things you desperately want? 

第三个分享的是jealous的名词是jealousy, 嫉妒心。比如：Friends become haters through jealousy. 因为有嫉妒心理，朋友会变成讨厌的人。

Jealous 更多强调的有一点点负面的，感觉到自己收到了“威胁”，所以因为羡慕产生嫉妒和恨。而envious 是比较类似羡慕的感觉。比如：I’m so envious of him. 我真的很羡慕他。I’m envious of his abilities and possessions. 我羡慕他的能力也羡慕他拥有的东西。
