【基础英语】纠正错误表达I have a doubt.

I have a doubt. （错）这句话里有两个错误，一个是意思错误。一个是用法错误。

1. 意思错误。Doubt 表示的是对某件事情不确定，或者认为某物不是真的。

meaning: If you have doubt or doubts about something, you feel uncertain about it and do not know whether it is true or possible. 如果这句话跟老师说，潜台词就是你觉得老师说的是错的。而不是请教老师问题。

正确的跟老师说可以说：

1) I have a question. 

2) I’m confused. 

3) I don’t get it. 

4) I don’t understand this. 

5) Can you explain this? 

6) Can you help me with this? 

2. 用法错误。doubt 既可以是不可数名词，也可以是可数名词。一般用法是：be in doubt about … 或者是have doubts about … 

e.g. I'm having doubts about his ability to do the job. 我怀疑他是否有能力做这项工作。 

e.g. The future of the stadium is in doubt because of a lack of money. 由于缺乏资金，这个体育场的前途不定。
