【轻阅读，看世界】Should I upgrade my wife's ring?

TLDR; thinking of upgrading my wife's ring. Have you done it? What are your thoughts.

Wife and I got married in our early 20's and have been together for almost 20 years now. We had precious little money when we got married and were trying to navigate finishing college and starting a family. So her ring is a pretty simple one. She has never ever said anything about being displeased with it or wanting something different. While far from rich, we are much better off now than we ever have been in the past.

So this is all me thinking perhaps I should think about upgrading her ring. Have any of you done this? What did you consider? I kind of want to surprise her but I'm not sure that would be the best course of action either. I'm not sure how to navigate all my thoughts about this and any advice would be appreciated. Thank you all so much.
