For the past + 时间;
2. But um, they wanted experience, all the jobs, and I don't have experience.
1)But, um 中t的变音;
2)wanted—-waned
3)Experience 的声调,在重音位置升调
But ︶ um, they wanted ex ↗ perience, all the jobs, and ︶ I don't have experience.
3. I mean, I went to college, and I always thought that was experience, but it's not, apparently.
1)弱读:to—t
2)重读:college 一般名词都是内容词,都是要重读
3)But 和not 的t 都没有发音
4)表达积累:I always thought …but … 我一直以为…但…
E.g. I always thought raising kids was easy, but it’s not, apparently.
I mean, I went to college, and I always thought that was experience, but it's not, apparently.
4. And everywhere I go, they're like, well can you do Excel? Can you do PowerPoint? And it just gets to the point where I can't even get a job at Bed Bath & Beyond.

5. Like literally, I tried to get a job at the Bed Bath & Beyond near Union Square and I had an interview and I thought it went pretty well, but they ↗ never call me back, because they said I didn't have enough experience.
