学英语还不知道reach out to someone 是什么意思？

reach out to someone: 联系某人；提供帮助

e.g. He had no one to reach out to when he was in need. 当他需要帮助的时候他没有可以联系的人。

e.g. One of the most difficult aspects of my job is to reach out blind. 我工作最难的一方面就是要去陌生拜访。

e.g. If someone is suffering, don’t look away and avoid, reach out and offer to help. 如果有人正在承受痛苦，不要眼神避开假装看不见，要伸出手提供帮助。
