meaning: a situation in which you do not have things or conditions that are usually considered necessary for a pleasant life 

 

1) 前缀:de- 否定

2) 词根:priv- 私人(private adj. 私人的)

3) 后缀: -ation 名词后缀


e.g. They used sleep deprivation as a form of torture. 他们把不让睡觉作为一种折磨人的手段。
