【原声视界】Day 78 谢霆锋分享对烹饪的热爱

7965

I got a lot from cooking. I used to be this really locked up kid, you know. Until I started cooking, I found a new medium to conversate with mom. Now every time I cook they would come to the house. They would sit on table, and that would just be the best platform to open up, or “Hey dad you wanna try this?” And before, I would just didn’t have that bridge.

I mean I don’t work in the kitchen, but I cook a lot. And I do host my own show. And I think it’s the ultimate international language. I do a lot of singing. I did a lot of movies, which that kind of art is already very international language. But food, one taste, you know where they’re from, the culture or tradition, habits, weather or season.

I think everything is learnable these days. If there’s a will there’s a way. It’s not rocket science, right? You wanna do something. You should put your heart to it. You put a lot a lot and a lot of effort and time. I don’t take it lightly. I do all my muse on Plaza at home. I practice my knife skills. I do everything. I read a lot. And I’m in the kitchen from start to the end. I don’t leave until the stuff is done.

My parents were, they were actors, so I got into the entertainment business with all of Hong Kong booing me. If you can, you know, if you wanna check back to how I debuted. For the first four years, I never got one applaud, applause. Whenever I got on stage, it was just boos, I couldn’t even hear one word of what I was singing, but then I endured it.

Show after show, performance after performance, for four years, until I got my first (applause). So I’m here to stand here. That’s why I treasure every fan, I treasure every applause. And if I could get through that crap, I can get for this crap.
