Nick和美国朋友的短信日常1

大家好，我是Nick. 欢迎来到“Nick和美国朋友的短信日常“。So in this series, I will teach you guys some authentic phrases and slang by showing and explaining my texts with American people. 那通过讲解我本人，和美国朋友之间发的短信，来达到学习地道英文的效果。

那么今天的短信内容，是关于我邀请朋友吃饭，朋友在跟我确认时间的一些信息。首先我来读一遍这个短信。那么我们从第一条开始看，我说，bro, how abt we eat on Wednesday afternoon，我们星期三吃饭怎么样。

在这里，bro是美国常见的，对于亲密好兄弟的称呼，也可以写成bruh。然后，abt在这里是about缩写。 It would have to be before 6pm, because I'll be volunteering at that time.他回复我说，得在6点之前，因为他有个志愿者活动要做。

然后我回复，Sure Bro, I'm all free that afternoon.我说没问题，我整个下午都有空, I'm free 或者 I'm available就是说我有空的意思。然后他又说，I got off work at 10.30, I talk to Christine until 1pm ish.这里要注意，两个点是今天的重点。Get off work就是下班的表达，比如你几点下班？When do you get off (work)? 这里的work加不加都可以。有趣并且值得一提的是，放学并不是get off school，而是说get out of school。表示放学。

第二个重点，...ish表示的样子，有点.....   它是后缀，常用来加在数字日期等后面，表示猜测，不确定。比如他大概25岁。He's 25-ish.  现在大概是早上7点，It's 7-ish in the morning ，再举一个例子I think this flower is blue-ish，我感觉这朵花略显蓝色。

最后一个回复，我说，np，这个也常用，就是no problem的缩写，那这个dude，也是形容关系好的男性朋友。那我们再来总结一下今天的短信，1，bro，表示亲密朋友2,abt是about缩写，how about表示提供建议3,get off work，下班, ish表示。。。的样子4,np缩写，dude的意思。
